B-BALL
Beyond Barriers and Limitations
The project, funded under the Erasmus+ 2024 programme, uses basketball as a tool for the social integration of young people with disabilities. Through four major events in Bulgaria, Serbia, France and Italy, the project promotes their participation in education, sport and culture.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
To address the challenges faced by young people with disabilities in areas such as education, employment, healthcare, sports and culture.
FOCUS
Using basketball as a transformative sport to promote social integration.
TARGET GROUP
Teenagers with special needs from four countries: Bulgaria, Slovakia, France and Italy.

Main aspects of the B-BALL project:
Skill Development and Confidence Building – Focusing on improving basketball skills and increasing participants’ physical capabilities, while fostering a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence.
Social Integration and Teamwork – Promoting social integration through collaborative teamwork, mutual respect and inclusiveness, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds.
Community Engagement – Actively engaging local communities through awareness programs, events and media campaigns that highlight the importance of inclusive sport and social integration.
