What we offer
DATE-SPORT sports club is the place where basketball becomes a means of development, integration and fun for all ages and social groups. With the strong dedication of two inspiring women – Tina Dimitrova and Ekaterina Kourkyulos , the club creates unique opportunities for children and people with special needs to discover the magic of sports, grow physically and emotionally and be integrated into society.
The two founders of DATE-SPORT join forces to create two special teams that change the lives of their participants. The first is the “Special Team” – a group for children and people with special needs who benefit from regular basketball lessons, completely free of charge, thanks to the dedication of coach Tina Dimitrova. This team participates in a number of national and international competitions, where sport becomes a bridge for social integration and joy.
The second is “The Little Team” – a program created for children from 3 to 12 years old, in collaboration with the French Basketball Federation (FFBB), with a focus on the integration of sports in early childhood. These activities provide children not only with physical development, but also with the basics of teamwork and socialization. The program started with 8 children 6 years ago, and today more than 120 children regularly train and prepare for competitions, including participation in championships organized by the Bulgarian Basketball Federation.

THE SPECIAL TEAM
The “Special Team” of DATE SPORT Club is one of the most valuable initiatives that the club offers. Created specifically for children and adults with special needs, the team provides weekly training sessions free of charge, giving participants the opportunity to discover not only physical strength, but also the joy of participating in team activities. The team regularly participates in international competitions in Italy, Turkey, France and Switzerland, which is not only an opportunity for sports competition, but also for building self-confidence and socialization of people with different needs.
Tina Dimitrova, the head coach of this team, believes that basketball is more than a sport – it is a way of life that brings joy and gives hope for the future. The idea is to help these children and adults integrate into society, overcome barriers and develop skills that will support them throughout their lives.

THE SMALL TEAM
"The Little Team" is an innovative project for children aged 3 to 12 that combines fun and learning. Developed in collaboration with the French Basketball Federation (FFBB), the project focuses on building basic physical culture and social skills through sport. Through daily training, children are introduced to the basic principles of basketball, such as teamwork, discipline and responsibility, while developing physically and emotionally.
Starting the program 6 years ago with 8 participants, today more than 120 children regularly participate in the activities, and in the future they will be able to compete in official tournaments under the auspices of the Bulgarian Basketball Federation. The idea of the club is not only to transmit playing skills, but also to form sustainable values that will help children cope with challenges both in sports and in life.
